From 2009-2018, DAS provided visualization services to our friends at On Deck Sports in Massachusetts. On Deck outfits sports facilities with equipment, netting and cages specializing in baseball themed layouts.
Here is a sampling of the over 100 projects we completed for them.

Wanting to highlight their unique design and assembly skills, On Deck asked for a demonstration movie using their recently completed work on the Georgia Octane Sportsplex facility.
I was provided an architectural plan and 8-10 photos of the finished facility as well as several taken during construction.

You'll note (if you look carefully) the fly-through animation finishes with a cross dissolve into one of the actual photos of the completed facility from the ground looking back through the divider netting. This animation was completed in 2015 using Mental Ray for the final renderings.

In 2010, On Deck asked DAS to create a "fly-thru" style animation of their design for the new B2B Baseball Academy in Mannheim, PA.
I was provided an architectural plan and 8-10 photos of the finished facility as well as several taken during construction. Construction was completed by Ames Construction Inc. Here's a link to their site about the project.

-Retractable Batting Cage-
In 2010, On Deck asked DAS to create some renderings and an animation of their design for a retractable batting cage which could be installed in a typical high school gym.
This posed some interesting challenges from an animation standpoint, particularly simulating the fabric netting clumping and folding back over itself to rest on top of the cage frame before retracting into the ceiling. This is how it would actually be used and we needed to show that.
