This is an odd project, but the author, Katia Gaidouk was looking for an animation of her children's book hero "Chi-Chi the Dancing Chinchilla" to celebrate the milestone of reaching 1500 Facebook fans (this back in 2012). She chose the music and I created the character based on photos of her own chinchilla and the wonderful drawings in the book. Numerous mocap files were combined to match the music. The character was composited with hair and fur and rendered in 3ds Max. Katia has written a second book about Chi Chi. Click the link below to go directly to Chi-Chi's web site.
