In 2011, SlaterPaull Architects in Denver contacted DAS about creating some marketing and final animations of their new design for the Aurora Hills Middle School in Aurora Colorado. Thankfully, much of their design work had been completed and I was given many finished files from which to complete the 3D build out, light the scenes, populate the surrounding environment and render. This was still a substantial project including extensive interior and exterior views. This was originally a Mental Ray render but I ended up combining several different render methods and passes and compositing the final movie. Deadlines are deadlines... On my YouTube channel I have received several nice comments from students and former students who took the time to mention how much the renders look like the finished school. Thanks!
